Fort Madison Police Report
08/01/22 – 12:17 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Cason Alan Barker, 20, of Fort Madison, at the intersection of 28th Street and Avenue I, on charges of possession of a controlled substance, eluding – injury, OWI, drug, and driving under suspension. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
08/01/22 – 10:48 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 900 block of Avenue G.
08/01/22 – 1:03 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 2600 block of Avenue L.
08/01/22 – 3:04 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Amber Rae Grooms, 38, of Wever, in the 1500 block of 18th Street, on warrants for 3rd degree theft and 3rd degree burglary. She was taken to Lee County Jail.
08/01/22 – 3:19 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 1000 block of Avenue E.
08/01/22 – 3:31 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Timothy David Mondon, 37, of Fort Madison, in the 2700 block of Avenue N, on a Marion County Warrant for failure to appear. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
08/01/22 – 5:40 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of vandalism in the 3100 block of Avenue M.
08/02/22 – 12:23 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested David Leon Holmes II, 31, of Fort Madison, at the intersection of 31st Street and Avenue L, on a warrant for failure to appear, and charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
08/02/22 – 9:44 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a burglary at the intersection of 30th Street and Avenue L.
08/02/22 – 10:21 a.m. – Fort Madison police cited Dale Melvin Hall, 83, of Fort Madison, in the 100 block of Iris Lane, on a charge of city: discharging firearm.
08/02/22 – 11:34 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Adam James Huss, 33, of West Point, at the North Lee County Courthouse, on a warrant for 3rd degree harassment. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
08/02/22 – 3:44 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 500 block of Avenue G.

Lee County Sheriff Report
08/01/22 – 9:11 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Logan Gene Meyers, 23, of Keokuk, at the sheriff's office, on a charge of 2nd degree theft greater than $1,500 but less than $10,000. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
08/01/22 – 10:03 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Jordan Cheyenne Fussell, 30, of Keokuk, at the South Lee County Courthouse, on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance. She was taken to Lee County Jail.
08/02/22 – 7:54 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 2500 block of Hwy. 61. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Jerry Lee Francy, 56, of New London, was traveling south in the 2500 block of Hwy. 61, towing a corn head, when a vehicle driven by Phineas H. Eicher, 40, of Montrose, struck the back of the corn head. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Eicher was cited for failure to maintain control.
08/02/22 – 9:21 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested David Leon Holmes, 31, of Fort Madison, at the North Lee County Courthouse, on a warrant for failure to appear/contempt of court. He was taken to Lee County Jail and later released on bond.
08/02/22 – 10:17 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 1st & Main Streets. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Randy Lee Riddle, 63, of Keokuk, was stopped at a stop sign on 1st Street heading north when it was struck by a vehicle driven by Sydra Ann Nelson, 34, of Montrose, as it was heading east making a left turn. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene. Nelson was cited for failure to maintain control.
08/02/22 – 2:40 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Andrew Shayne Kelly, 36, of Keokuk, at the sheriff's office, on a charge of contempt – violation of a no-contact order. He was taken to Lee County Jail.

Those listed above are arrested on suspicion of a charge and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
