07/15/22 – 7:51 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of vandalism in the 1500 block of 29th Street.
07/15/22 – 2:18 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 1900 block of Avenue I.
07/15/22 – 4:15 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 400 block of Avenue D.
07/15/22 – 10:42 p.m. – Fort Madison police cited Joseph Robert Decker, 31, of Fort Madison, at the intersection of 30th Street and Avenue J, on a charge of driving under suspension.
07/16/22 – 2:40 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Ryan David Simpson, 30, of Clinton, in the 1600 block of Avenue D, on a charge of public intoxication. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
07/16/22 – 2:00 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1700 block of Avenue I.
07/16/22 – 5:05 p.m. – Fort Madison police cited Benjamin Isaiah Mitchell, 38, of Fort Madison, in the 4500 block of Avenue O, on a charge of driving while barred.
07/16/22 – 7:36 p.m. – Fort Madison police cited Timothy R. Busard, 61, of Fort Madison, in the 5800 block of Avenue O, on a charge of assault w/bodily injury.
07/16/22 – 9:42 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 1500 block of 18th Street.
07/16/22 – 11:00 p.m. – Fort Madison police cited Matthew Wayne Sly, 29, of Fort Madison, at the intersection of 19th Street and Avenue L, on a charge of driving while barred.
07/17/22 – 2:00 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 1200 block of 23rd Street.
07/17/22 – 3:29 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a property damage accident at the intersection of 15th Street and Avenue G.
07/17/22 – 9:20 p.m. – Fort Madison police cited Amber Renee Rea, 39, of Fort Madison, at the intersection of 26th Street and Avenue G, on a charge of driving under suspension.
07/18/22 – 7:37 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 800 block of Avenue H.

Lee County Sheriff Report
07/15/22 – 6:47 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwys. 2 and 61. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Erika Rose Kruse, 17, of Fort Madison, was traveling south on Hwy. 2, when a semi driven by Nicholas Andrew Willits, 38, of Muscatine, was exiting the off-ramp from Hwy. 61, but pulled away from the stop sign not seeing Kruse's vehicle. Willits semi struck Kruse's vehicle, sending it into the ditch. Kruse and two passengers in her vehicle reported minor injuries, were seen by EMS, but not transported to the hospital. No other injuries were reported. Kruse's vehicle sustained major damages and was towed from the scene; Willits' vehicle sustained minor damages. Willits was cited for failure to obey stop sign and yield right of way.
07/15/22 – 12:19 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Crystal Dawn Huggins, 40, of Burlington, at the North Lee County Courthouse, on warrants for 5th degree theft less than $300, felony forgery, and lottery – forged/theft of ticket. She was taken to Lee County Jail and later released on a pre-trial release.
07/15/22 – 2:39 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Kadyn Aubry Mason, 23, of Keokuk, at the North Lee County Courthouse, on warrants for voluntary absence from custody and a judgment hold. She was taken to Lee County Jail.
07/15/22 – 5:24 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 320th Street and Hwy. 16. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Heidi Sue Westlake, 47, of Burlington, was traveling westbound on Hwy. 16, when it was attempting to avoid a collision with a third vehicle, crossed into the eastbound traffic land, and struck a vehicle driven by Jennifer Marie Hummel, 44, of West Point. Hummel reported possible injuries, but was not transported to a hospital. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage. No citations were reported.
07/15/22 – 11:34 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Carson Avery Donaldson, 22, of Burlington, in Des Moines County, on a warrant for violation of probation. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
07/16/22 – 3:20 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Keith Lynn Kellum, 33, of Keokuk, at the South Lee County Courthouse, on a warrant for violation of probation. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
07/16/22 – 3:41 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Danny Ray Derr, 58, of Keokuk, in the 2400 block of 340th Street, Keokuk, on a warrant for failure to appear – citation. He was taken to Lee County Jail and later released on bond.
07/17/22 – 7:36 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Darrin Michael Fitzgerald, 21, of Hamilton, at the sheriff's office, on a judgment entry hold. He was taken to Lee County Jail.

Those listed above are arrested on suspicion of a charge and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
