Fort Madison Police Report
03/17/23 – 5:40 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Jeffrey George Sniegowski, Jr., 39, of Fort Madison, at the intersection of 18th Street and Avenue A, on charges of driving while barred and possession of a controlled substance - 1,2,3rd. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/17/23 – 7:13 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 3300 block of Avenue L.
03/17/23 – 7:17 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of vandalism in the 1200 block of Avenue E.
03/17/23 – 8:30 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Denise Ann McGinnis, 57, of Fort Madison, in the 3000 block of Bluff Road, on charges of 2nd offense OWI and driving under suspension. She was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/17/23 – 8:44 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of vandalism in the 4600 block of Avenue L.
03/17/23 – 10:14 p.m. – Fort Madison police cited Samuel Louis Gray, 71, of Fort Madison, in the 2300 block of Avenue L, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance – 2nd.
03/18/23 – 12:00 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Scott Allen Gilman, 55, of Burlington, in the 700 block of 9th Street, on a charge of driving under suspension. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/18/23 – 10:18 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of vandalism in the 2600 block of Avenue L.
03/18/23 – 10:50 a.m. – Fort Madison police cited Geno Darnel Witherspoon, 36, of Mississippi, in the 2400 block of Henry Ladyn Drive, on a charge of simple assault.
03/18/23 – 1:20 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 5400 block of Avenue O.
03/18/23 – 9:46 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Joshua Isaac Daniels, 39, of Fort Madison, at the intersection of 40th Street and Avenue O, on a warrant for probation violation - theft and a charge of possession of a controlled substance - 3rd. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/19/23 – 4:58 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Benjamin Isaiah Mitchell, 39, of Fort Madison, in the 2700 block of Avenue O, on a warrant for probation violation - possession of a controlled substance; and charges of being a felon in control of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of weapon in a correctional facility, 2 charges of having contraband/weapon in a correctional facility, drug tax stamp violations, 2 charges of possession of a controlled substance - 1,2,3rd, and a  charge of drug trafficking - 5GM-100KG methamphetamine. He was taken to Lee County Jail.

Lee County Sheriff Report
03/17/23 – 4:18 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Benjamin Gurney Skiles, 45, of Argyle, at the North Lee County Courthouse, on a charge of driving under suspension. He was taken to Lee County Jail and later released on a promise to appear.
03/18/23 – 8:09 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Kanyavong Sensouk, 33, of Mt. Pleasant, at the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 2 and 255th Street, Donnellson, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/19/23 – 7:08 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident in the 3300 block of Hwy. 27. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Devin Lee Gibbons, 29, of Missouri, was traveling south on Hwy. 27 when the driver lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, re-entered the roadway and left again, rolling the vehicle into the median. Gibbons' minor daughter was taken by ambulance to Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center. No other injuries were reported. Gibbons' vehicle sustained serious, disabling damages and had to be towed from the scene. Gibbons was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid and accident, failure to use child restraint device, and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility.

Those listed above are arrested on suspicion of a charge and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
