Fort Madison Police Report
03/24/23 – 8:23 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a property damage accident at the intersection of 27th Street and Avenue G.
03/24/23 – 10:27 a.m.  – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 1500 block of Avenue M.
03/24/23 – 3:12 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Shelly Renee Kelly, 51, of Fort Madison, in the 300 block of Vica Lane, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance - 1,2,3rd, gathering where controlled substances are used, contributing to delinquency of a minor - encourage, and child endangerment. She was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/24/23 – 4:17 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 1800 block of Avenue H.
03/25/23 – 2:32 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of vandalism at the intersection of 14th Street and Avenue E.
03/25/23 – 8:28 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Andrew Leroy Decker, 60, of Fort Madison, in the 4900 block of Avenue O, on a warrant for failure to appear - driving while suspended. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/26/23 – 12:13 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Todd Robert Helmick, 33, of Farmington, in the 4900 block of Avenue O, on a charge of 1st offense OWI. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/26/23 – 2:12 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of vandalism in the 1000 block of Avenue E.
03/26/23 – 5:04 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1400 block of Avenue M.
03/26/23 – 11:36 p.m. – Fort Madison police cited Molly Rose Haynes, 30, of Fort Madison, in the 1900 block of Avenue L, on a charge of driving while barred.

Lee County Sheriff Report
03/24/23 – 4:04 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Jeremiah Lewis Jack Jordan, 41, of Keokuk, at the South Lee County Courthouse, on a warrant for pretrial release violation. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/25/23 – 12:28 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies responded to a report of single-vehicle accident in the 1400 block of Hwy. 2. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Elijah James Spears, 21, of Donnellson, was traveling east on Hwy. 2 when it hydroplaned into the ditch due to poor weather conditions, hit a field-entrance driveway, and rolled onto its top. No injuries or citations were reported. Spears' vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene.
03/25/23 – 2:08 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident in the 1300 block of Hwy. 218. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Dominique Ernesto Brown, 37, of Florida, was traveling on Hwy. 218 when it entered the ditch due to poor weather conditions, rolled several times, and came to rest on its top. Brown sustained serious injuries and was transported via EMS to Iowa City. No citations were reported. Brown's vehicle sustained disabling damages and had to be towed from the scene.
03/26/23 – 10:10 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Johnathanne Taylor Palm, 26, of Fort Madison, at the sheriff's office, on a judgment hold warrant. He was taken to Lee County Jail.

Fort Madison Fire & Rescue Report
03/24/23 - Fort Madison Firefighters responded to seven medical calls.
03/25/23 - Fort Madison Firefighters responded to five medical calls and one burn permit.
03/26/23 - Fort Madison Firefighters responded to two medicals one fire alarm and a medical pendant activiation.

Those listed above are arrested on suspicion of a charge and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
