Fort Madison Police Report
07/11/22 – 10:53 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a burglary in the 2600 block of Avenue I.
07/11/22 – 8:49 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Adam Matthew Tripp, 35, of Fort Madison, in the 2700 block of Avenue L, on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, ineligible to carry weapon, and unlawful possession of prescription drugs. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
07/11/22 – 9:08 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 2000 block of Avenue L.
07/12/22 – 1:36 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Dalton Jerald McKeown, 26, of Fort Madison, in the 3700 block of Avenue L, on a charge of 2nd offense OWI. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
07/12/22 – 2:25 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 2200 block of Avenue L.

Lee County Sheriff Report
07/11/22 – 8:51 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Amber Rae Grooms, 38, Wever, at the North Lee County Courthouse, on charges of 5th degree theft less than $300 and 3rd degree burglary. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
07/11/22 – 9:12 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Joshua Adam Bowen, 42, of Wever, in the 2000 block of 343rd Avenue, Wever, on a charge of 3rd degree theft greater than $750 and less than $1,500. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
07/11/22 – 4:18 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested a 15-year-old male juvenile, Chariton, at the Juvenile Detention Center, on charges of interference with official acts and interference with official acts – bodily injury. He was referred to juvenile court.
07/11/22 – 9:08 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Dalton Michael James White, 21, of Keokuk, at the South Lee County Courthouse on a warrant for failure to appear. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
07/11/22 – 10:01 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident in the 2700 block of Hwy. 218. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Delia Islas-Sotelo, 43, of Illinois, was traveling northbound in the 2700 block of Hwy. 218 when a deer entered the roadway and struck the vehicle. Islas-Sotelo complained of injuries and was transported to Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center Fort Madison by emergency transport. No citations were reported.
07/12/22 – 8:30 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Brenda Lee Kitavarada, 26, of Keokuk, in the 1500 block of Palean Street, Keokuk, on warrants for false ID of law/public service officer, violation of probation, and 3rd degree theft greater than $750 but less than $1,500; and a charge of simple assault. She was taken to Lee County Jail.
