Fraise holding Faeth Cigar liquidation auction

FORT MADISON - Fraise Auction & Real Estate is honored to announce the upcoming Business Liquidation Auction of Faeth’s Cigar Store, a treasured local institution in Fort Madison, Iowa. Faeth’s Cigar Store, which celebrated its remarkable 100th anniversary in June 2024, has been a cornerstone of the community for three generations, serving as a local tavern, cigar and cigarette shop, and sporting goods store since 1924.

The auction offers a wide range of historic items. Due to the extensive inventory and limited space, items will be available from two separate locations and divided into three distinct bidding catalogs. In addition, a public open house and preview will be held on Friday, September 13th, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at both Faeth’s Cigar Store in Fort Madison and the Fraise Auction Center in New London, Iowa. This will be the perfect opportunity for prospective bidders to view the items in person before placing their bids. The auction will culminate with the closing of all bids on Monday, September 16th, 2024.
Featured items include porcelain building signs, an incredible amount of beer and tobacco signs and advertisements, General Store fixtures and cabinets, pool tables, and a wide array of nostalgic memorabilia, as well as a collection of Tri-State Rodeo memorabilia. Additionally, the auction will feature a substantial collection of new sporting goods inventory, including firearms, ammunition, and fishing tackle.
