Fort Madison stands at 3-0 with Fairfield next up on the road

FORT MADISON - Dayton Davis scored 23 points including 16 in the first half in an early Saturday afternoon tussle with Williamsburg in the Hound Dome.

Davis was 8 of 13 from the free throw line, with 11 of the freebies coming in the first half as the Hounds beat the Raiders 61-47.

Miles Dear had 13 for the Hounds as they raced out to 22-7 first quarter lead. Davis, Reiburn Turnbull, Dear and Tate Johnson all had three-point shots for Fort Madison in the first half as the Hounds held a 39-22 lead at the break.

Fort Madison would hold Williamsburg to just six points in the third quarter as they pushed the lead to almost 20 at 47-28.

Head Coach Ryan Wilson would start working the bench as nine players got into the scoring action.

Turnbull finished with eight points on the night, and Phillip Goldie had five. Johnson and Landes Williams each had three points in the win, while Leighton Rockhold, Matt Hopper and Leif Denning all had two points in the win.

The Hounds are 3-0 on the year and are off until Friday when they take on Fairfield on the road.
