Michael John Orlandini, 64, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away unexpectedly at 10:58 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA. He was born on April 10, 1958 in LaSalle, IL to Louis & Josephine Ruszczyk Orlandini. He married Lisa Ann Bell on October 10, 1980 in Metamora, IL. He was a proud conductor and safety coordinator for the BNSF Railroad with 42 years of service. He loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and his loyal sidekick, Alfred. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, swimming, riding his new bike, eating, drinking beer & wine, the Chicago Cubs & Bears and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Mike is survived by: his wife: Lisa Orlandini of Fort Madison, IA; 3-daughters: Ashley (fiancé Branden Touch) Orlandini Hernandez of Burlington, IA, Holly (Kyle) Blood of Lisbon, IA & Hannah (fiancé Lucas Honadel) Orlandini of Cedar Rapids, IA; 6-grandchildren: Kellan (11), Cohen (10), Jax (7), Kroy (7), Maeve (2) & Wren (15 months); 1-brother: Harold (Phyllis) Orlandini of Benton, IL; 1-sister: Carol Orlandini of Bozeman, MT & 2-sister in laws: Noella Orlandini of Carbondale, IL & Mora Gregg of Ontario, Canada. He was preceded in death by: his parents and 2-brothers: Richard & Gary.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Claypoole Cemetery in rural Fort Madison, IA with Pastor Jon Heyland officiating.
