King-Lynk Funeral Home obituary - Judy A. Seitz, 78, West Point


Judy A. Seitz,78, of West Point, passed away at 12:15 AM on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.

   She was born on December 3, 1942 in Macomb, IL to Ralph W. and Doris I. Winters Runkle. Judy was a 1960 graduate of Industry High School.  On May 26, 1962 she married James Seitz in Industry IL.  Judy had worked at several factories in the area.  She was very proud to be a CNA and worked at the Ft. Madison Health Center, Ft. Madison Community Hospital and also has an in home caretaker for people.  She worked at Sheaffer Pen Company and retired after twenty seven years of service.  Judy attended First Baptist Church in Ft. Madison. She and Jim loved traveling in their RV and wintered in Texas and Arizona.  She collected angels, dolls and head vases.  Judy enjoyed going to yard sales and collecting coupons.  She loved Blue Grass and Gospel music and finished her day by reading the Bible. 

   Survivors include her husband, James Seitz of West Point; one son, Jim Seitz of Ft. Madison; one sister, Donna (Bob) Roads of Jacksonville, IL; one brother, Steve (Shelley) Runkle of Peyton, CO; one sister in law, Pat Runkle of Sturgeon, MO; three nieces, four nephews, five great nieces, five great nephews, one great great niece; one great great nephew and two beloved granddogs.  

    She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Benny; a sister in law, Ruth Sharon two nieces, Michelle Runkle and Marilyn Thomspon and one nephew, Wesley Sharon.

   The memorial service will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 2 PM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Dean Graber officiating.  The family will meet with friends from 1PM until the time of the service at 2 PM.  Burial will take place at a later date.
