Lamont G. Jarvis, age 77, of Marshalltown, IA and formerly of Ft. Madison, IA, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 4:24 AM at the VA Home in Marshalltown.
He was born on December 6, 1946 in Ft. Madison to Gurden and Evelyn Schreiber Jarvis. Lamont worked at Sheaffer Pen Co. in his early years and then worked at Gleason’s until their closing.  He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era.
Survivors include four brothers, Harry (Becky) Jarvis of Farmington, IA, Toby Jarvis of Ft. Madison, IA, Robert (Julie) Jarvis of Oquawka, IL and James Jarvis of Burlington, IA; sister-in-law, Donna Jarvis of Niota, IL and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers,  Eldon, Dennis and Michael.
Per his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The burial and graveside service will be held at a later date in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Ft. Madison.
