King-Lynk Funeral Home obituary - Mary E. Larson, 88, Fort Madison

Mary E. Larson, 88 of Fort Madison, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 9:42 PM at The Madison.

   She was born on December 19, 1934 in Burlington to Lawrence and Helen Steinbrecker Neff.  Mary married Keith Lite and they later divorced.  Mary worked at the Macon County Crawford Senior Center as a receptionist and retired after many years of service.  She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and had a very outgoing personality.  She loved the outdoors, camping, bike riding and being in the mountains of North Carolina.  Mary’s favorite color was purple and those who will be attending the service are encourage to wear a purple item.

  Survivors include one daughter, Linda (Gary) Weigel of Aurora, IL; two grandchildren, Jeremy (Sue) Lite and Jennifer (Nick) Jeck; four great grandchildren, Chase, Keith, Charlee and Hunter; one brother, Don Neff of Burlington and several nieces and nephews including Judy Dressler of Ft. Madison. 

   She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Keith Lite; one son, Donnie Lite; one daughter, LuAnn Weigel; one brother, Richard Neff and one sister, Dorothy Wilson.

    Per her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  The family will meet with friends on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 1:30 PM until 2 PM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with a celebration of life to be held at 2 PM.  Burial will take place at a later date.
