LCHD holds immunization clinics

COVID vaccines also available for children

KEOKUK - Lee County Health Department will be holding a Children’s Immunization Clinic Thursday, October 13th at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2330 Plank Road in Keokuk from 1:00 pm until 4:30pm. Please park on the south side of the building (the large parking lot) and enter in the door that states HANDICAPPED.

 The clinic is open to children who have no insurance, are insured by Iowa Medicaid (MCO) or those who have private health insurance that does not cover the cost of vaccines.  Written parental consent is required for minors to receive vaccinations when in the care of another adult. (Please visit our website for a consent form.)

Free lead testing is available for all children ages 6 months to 6 years who reside in Iowa.

Keokuk immunization clinics will have the COVID-19 vaccine available for children 6 months-4 years old and children 5-11 years-old.  Fort Madison immunization clinics will have the COVID-19 vaccine available for children 6 months- 4 years old, 5-11 years-old and for those 12 years and older.  A consent for both vaccines can be found in the COVID Information section of the LCHD website (www.leecountyhd.org). (Appointments are required-please call to schedule and verify availability of vaccines).
