Wristbands to help 5-year-old

Posted

Dear Editor:
There is a 5-year-old boy named Camden who is battling the fight of his life right now. Due to a bicycle accident it was discovered he had severe underlying issues and has now been back and forth to Iowa City. He has to undergo testing and treatment. Family is by his side but that leads to the fact that they cannot work while being with him. Grandma is selling wristbands to slightly help his cause. They can be found at Apartment  D-20 at Hillview Village, 1102 48th Street. Grandma has a great group of friends and one particular took
Camden as his buddy and gave him rides on his hoveround.
Sadly this friend passed away and Camden has asked family if he will see his friend when he goes to heaven. A 5-year-old should not be worried about things as such. He has good days and bad days.
Camden loves trains and they recently visited the steam locomotive in Riverview Park. The family wants to express their deep gratitude to the workers there who gave Camden the best day ever, They were very accommodating and went out out of their way for Camden. The family wants these workers to know how grateful they are for all they did.

Carol Hotop,
Fort Madison
