Reader encourages YES vote on EMS levy

What is your life worth?

Not long ago I had to call 9-1-1 for myself vbecause of an accident at home. I needed help, not just help, but immediate help because I was bleeding out. Had it not been for the EMS staff's quick response and the hospital staff's response I probably woudln't be sitting here writing this letter.

So first I'd like to give a big Thank You to everyone who transported me, who patched me up and who got me back up on my feet. It was a humbling experience because now I know we all need help sometimes.

So now I'm urging everyone to get out and vote YES on March 7th for the special election on the EMS levy for the county-run ambulance service.

What if something happens when several people need help at the same time? You never know when it could be you or someone you love.
