Robotics team to hold sponsor/partner event

MONTROSE - The Lee County Robotics team, the Lc3 Thunderbirds, will hold a sponsor partner night on Oct. 27 at the Lee County Career Advantage Center in Montrose.

A robot demonstration will be held starting at 5:30 p.m. with a team presentation made from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Hors d'oeuvres will provided by Elliott Test Kitchen.

The Thunderbirds finished as runner-up among all rookies at the FIRST International Competition in Houston, Texas. The qualified for the competition after being awarded a Rookie All-Star award at the Iowa Regionals.
