Dale Parren, 71, of Niota, Illinois, passed away at 4:39 a.m. Friday, November 26, 2022 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa.
 
Dale was born May 22, 1951 the son of Charles and Virginia (Magerle) Parren. On August 25, 1973 he married Paula Snook in Reno, Nevada. She preceded him in death in 2007.
 
Mr. Parren served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He  was a motorcycle and car enthusiast and restored several cars. He enjoyed playing music, especially guitar in the Silver Creek Band. 
 
Survivors include his significant other: Donna Krier of Nauvoo; one sister-in-law: Irita Parren; two nephews: Douglas and Donald; one niece: Dianna and numerous cousins.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Paula, and one brother: Leslie Parren.
 
Cremation has been entrusted to Schmitz-Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Nauvoo.
 
Burial will be held at a later date at the Woodville Cemetery in Rogue Rover, Oregon.
