Mandy Marie Morrison Garcia, 40, of Hamilton, IL died Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was born February 26, 1983 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of Linda Crutcher.
On April 20, 2006 Mandy was united in marriage to Vincent Garcia in Carthage, IL. He survives.
She is also survived by one daughter, Isabella Garcia of Hamilton, her mother, Linda Crutcher of Hamilton one uncle, Tim Crutcher (Lisa) of Peoria, IL one brother-in-law, Lazaro Garcia, one sister-in-law, Fran Garcia, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and several special friends that were like family. Her special fur baby her dog “Lady”.
She was preceded in death by her step-father, Charles S. Stamper (who raised her since she was 3 years old) and three brothers, Michael L. Morrison, Jr., Karl W. Morrison and Charles Scott Stamper
Mandy was a member of the First Christian Church in Keokuk. She was the founder of Events for Children with Disabilities/Abilities. Mandy had organized many events for over ten years including Easter Egg Hunts. The first Easter Egg Hunt started with 1,000 eggs and grew over the years to 10,000 eggs.
Mandy was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. She loved tie-dye, traveling, singing karaoke and watching television. Her favorite shows included Law & Order SVU, Fire Country and Grey’s Anatomy. She loved making crafts for her family and friends and constantly searched Pinterest for new craft ideas. She was a mouthful of sass and always spoke her mind.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 1st, at the First Christian Church in Keokuk with Rev. David Turner officiating.
Memorials may be made for the continuing care of her daughter, Isabella, and checks made payable to Linda Crutcher.
