Debbie had been employed at Hy-Vee in Keokuk for thirty-six years.  She had also worked at Kircher Family Dentistry in Keokuk for ten years.
Debbie enjoyed walking and walked five to six miles every day on her regular route down Grand Avenue.  She also enjoyed taking rides in her jeep, decorating her home, gardening, mowing grass, trying her luck at the casino and traveling with her family.  Debbie loved to shop and was well known for wearing her hoop earrings, holey jeans and a t-shirt.  She was a fan of Blake Shelton and enjoyed going to country music concerts.
Debbie was happiest when surrounded by her family and loved having her kids and grandkids together.  She enjoyed hosting Christmas Eve every year and having all of her family under one roof.  Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she spoiled them every chance she got.  You could always hear her cheering at all of her kids and grandkids activities.  She would do anything for her family.  She was the ultimate mama bear and was always sticking up for her kids and grandkids.
Debbie was ornery and made everyone around her laugh.  She was fun-loving and the best kind of crazy.  She was always up for a good time with her family and friends.  They never knew what she was going to do next.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Sim Tolbert officiating.  Private family burial will be held at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
