Vigen Memorial Home obituary – Gary Ross Rockelman, 81, Wayland

Gary Ross Rockelman, 81, of Wayland, MO died Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at his home. 

He was born March 30, 1941 in Keokuk, IA the son of Ross Loren and Beverly Gaynell Schard Rockelman.  Gary graduated from Keokuk High School. 

Gary was first united in marriage to Donna Sue Kamps.  To this union, were born three children, Todd, Sean and Cindy.  They divorced in 1973.  Gary later had one son, Shane with Lois Horter.  

Gary had been employed by Midwest Carbide and later owned and operated R&R Electric.  He was also a union electrician.   

Gary enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan.  He loved spending time with his four-legged companion, Diamond, who was his protector and cuddle bug. 

Gary is survived by four children, Cindy Buntin (Danny) of Wayland, MO, Todd Rockelman of Alexandria, MO, Sean Rockelman, Shane Rockelman and Kirsty Teeters all of Keokuk, nine grandchildren, Tiffanie West Bennett (Ralph), Johnathan West (Siera Mitchell), James West (Briana Crosson), Courtney Rockelman, Kelsee Rockelman-Dobler (Jake), Trent Rockelman (Chloe), Seth Wise-Rockelman, Alliyah Current and Rikki Happs and sixteen great-grandchildren, Brooke, Gerrick, Dawn, Gracie, Aidan, Patrick, Jaedyn, Callie, Grayson, Bexley, Rosie, Enzlee, Ryker, Olivia, Kayson and Kendrick.  He is also survived by one sister, Peggy Jones of Keokuk and two nephews, Donnie Jones (Angie) and Jeff Jones. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter, Valerie Williams, one great-grandson, Ross Rockelman, one daughter-in-law, Mary Rockelman and close friend, Pam Grimsley. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. 

The Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka is assisting the family with arrangements.
