Tammy Garcia, 57 of Montrose passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024 at her home in Montrose.
She was born June 12, 1967 in Keokuk, the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy Hammel Manewal. 
On October 20, 2007, she was united in marriage to Gavino Garcia III in Montrose.  He survives.
She is also survived by her six children, Melissa Skinner, Allan Skinner (Tiffany Marliere), Keith Skinner (Mary), Tiffany Skinner (Jake Stewart), Adam Skinner (Jennifer Fortner) and Josh Skinner (Jennifer), sixteen grandchildren, Conner Derr, Decker Derr, Aubrey Fox, Trestin Fox, Kaden Fox, Baylee Stewart, Brighton Stewart, Camden Stewart, Klover Roberts, Jacey Marliere, Ace Marliere, B.J. Atterberg, Mackenzie Shaw, Madison Shaw, Brayden Shaw, and Paisley Skinner and three great grandchildren, Mateo Mendonca, Draylee Mendonca, and Finnley Poje.  She is also survived by five sisters, Judy Jones, Sue Burgess (Rick) Connie Jones, Donna Manewal and Dianna Manewal, her mother-in-law, Beatrice Garcia, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Cindy Peak, Nancy Jean Manewal and Elizabeth Lowry and two brothers, Joseph Manewal and Randy Manewal and her father-in-law, Gavino Gracia Jr.
Tammy was a true jack of all trades, and was willing to give a helping hand to anyone that needed it. Her creativity shone through in her quilting and sewing.   She enjoyed gifting the blankets she made to her children and grandchildren.  Tammy loved being in the outdoors, mushroom hunting, fishing and gardening.  
A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 10 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with the family meeting with friends from 5- 7 p.m., followed by a memorial service.
