Banks & Beals Funeral Home obituary – Mark E. McKinley, 63, Niota
Mark Edward McKinley, 63, of Niota, Illinois formerly of Stockton, California passed away at 10:44 p.m. December 31, 2020 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital. Mark was born on February 13, 1957 in Omaha, Nebraska the son of Max Edward and Martha Louise Knocton McKinley. On August 5, 1979 he married Christine Mowen in Lake Tahoe, California. They later divorced. Mark enjoyed fishing and stockcar racing. Survivors include two daughters, Lynn Taylor of Niota and Cynthia Reese of California; one son, Joseph McKinley of Utah; seven granddaughters and two grandsons. Also surviving are two brothers, David McKinley and Randy Kinley and one sister, Barbara Jo McKinley. He was preceded in death by his parents. No services are planned. Cremation has been entrusted to Schmitz-Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Nauvoo. A memorial fund has been established in his memory. Contributions may be sent to the Mark McKinley Memorial Fund, c/o Schmitz-Banks & Beals, PO Box 201, Nauvoo, IL 62354.
