Fairfield sweeps Bloodhounds again

Trojans keep Fort Madison under control in 9-0 sweep

FAIRFIELD – The Fort Madison Bloodhounds got another lesson from Fairfield as the Trojans swept the Hounds for the second time in two weeks Monday night.
At No. 1 singles, Ruimin Luo downed Aiden Benda 0-6, 1-6, and Javeon Davis fell by the same scores at No. 2 singles.
Austin Loria knocked Fort Madison’s No. 3 James Janic 0-6, 0-6. At No. 4 singles, Peyton Howard got a game in each set before losing 1-6, 1-6 to Ethan Cass. Jack Amandus fell 0-6, 2-6 at No. 5 and Isaac Moon fell to Niko Emerson 2-6, 1-6.
The Trojans held the Bloodhounds to no more than two points in any set of doubles action with Wang and Loria taking down Benda and Davis 1-6, 1-6. Luo and Emerson downed Fort Madison’s Howard and Mason 2-6, 1-6 at No. 2 doubles and Janic and Amandus fell 1-6, 0-6 at No. 3.
The Hounds are off until Thursday when Burlington comes back to Fort Madison for another Southeast Conference matchup.
