Fort Madison Police report

02/27/17 – 2:12 a.m. Fort Madison police arrested Lisa May Brooks, 38, of Donnellson, in the 800 block of Avenue E on a charge of OWI-1st offense. She was released on a promise to appear.

02/28/17 – 8:06 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1400 block of Avenue G.

02/28/17 – 3:15 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in Des Moines County.

02/28/17 – 4:33 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 2700 block of Avenue M.

02/28/17 – 4:43 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 2400 block of Avenue A.

03/01/17 – 2:45 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1600 block of Avenue M.

03/01/17 – 7:42 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 1700 block of Avenue H.

03/01/17 – 8:12 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a larceny theft in the 1700 block of Avenue I.

03/01/17 – 10:29 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 2800 block of Avenue K.

03/01/17 – 2:24 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 4800 block of Avenue O.

03/01/17 – 5:29 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a hit and run in the 500 block of 8th Street.

03/01/17 – 5:46 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1700 blok of 39th Street.

03/01/17 – 6:38 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a hit and run in the 500 block of 10th Street.

03/02/17 – 12:59 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a personal injury accident at the intersection of 241st Street and 53rd Street.

03/02/17 – 9:30 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Michael Allen Axtell, 19, of Wayland, Mo.,  on a warrant for theft and forgery. He was taken to the Lee County Jail.

03/02/17 – 9:59 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a stolen bicycle in the 1100 block of Avenue G.

03/02/17 – 5:16 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a hit and run in the 2200 block of Avenue H.

03/02/17 – 9:00 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Tyler James Jenkins, 28, of Fort Madison on a charge of domestic abuse-simple assault. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

03/03/17 – 12:51 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Kurt Duane Myers, 53, of Fort Madison on a warrant for driving while barred. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

03/03/17 – 6:42 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1400 block of Avenue G.

Lee County Sheriff’s Report

02/28/17 – 12:12 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 2900 block of Hwy. 103. A vehicle driven by Lola Catherine Otte, 70 of West Point collided with the rear-end of a vehicle driven by Sharon Ann Strunk, 73, of Fort Madison. According to the sheriff’s report Otte said she was distracted by a head cold and failed to see Strunk’s vehicle. No injuries or citations were reported at the scene.

02/28/17 – 7:21 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident in the 2900 block of 18th Avenue. A vehicle driven by Eunice Marie Tate, 86 of Argyle, was headed southbound on 180th Avenue and entered the east bound ditch. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene. No injuries or citations were issued at the scene.

02/28/17 – 9:10 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident at the intersection of 390th Avenue and 183rd Street. A vehicle driven by John Robert Miller, 56, of Wever, was traveling eastbound on 183rd Street and left the roadway due to a missing traffic sign. The vehicle was towed from the scene. No injuries or citations were issued at the scene.

03/01/17 – 12:14 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jacob Glen Russell, 34, of Keokuk, at the Lee County Jail on warrant for parole violation. He was held.

03/03/17 – 7:55 a.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies reported a two-vehicle accident in the parking lot of Central Lee High School where vehicles driven by Darla Jean Fowler, 67, of Argyle and Kelsey Ann Metcalf, 29, of Fort Madison collided in the parking lot. No deputies responded to the scene and no citations or injuries were reported.

03/02/17 – 11:11 a.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Abigail Margaret Noel, 22, of Burlington at the Lee County Sheriff’s office on a charge of False reporting to law enforcement. She was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

03/02/17 – 4:17 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ryan Robert Anderson, 41, of Burlington, no location given, on a court ordered hold. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

03/02/17 – 4:37 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jody Michael Cooper, 40, of Burlington, no location given, on a court ordered hold. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

Fort Madison Fire and Rescue report

03/01/17 – Fort Madison Fire and rescue responded to three medical calls.

03/02/17 – Fort Madison fire responded to a vehicle/train collision near 5st Street and Ortho Road. One male was transported to Fort Madison Community Hospital.

03/02/17 – Fort Madison Fire and Rescue responded to one medical call.
