Clinton J Wellman, 32 years, of West Point, Iowa died Sunday, September 6, 2020 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa. He was born March 17, 1988 in Burlington, Iowa, a son of William and Cheyrl (Kolbet) Wellman.
Clinton was a 2006 graduate of Holy Trinity Catholic High School. He served 6 years in the United States Air Force, working with aircraft armament systems. He served overseas in Korea, and while in the United States he provided military rites with the active Honor Guard. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his parents, Bill and Cheyrl Wellman of West Point; three siblings: Hilary (Jeff) Knapp of Franklin, Indiana, Benjamin Wellman of West Point, and Veronica Wellman (Josh Hay) of Dubuque, Iowa; his paternal grandparents, James and Mary Wellman of West Point; one nephew Kaladin, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Art and Margaret Kolbet.
A private family committal service and burial with military rites will be held at Keokuk National Cemetery, Keokuk..
