Maria JoAnn Hagmeier, 64, of Springdale, AR formerly of Keokuk, IA died Monday, April 25, 2022 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, AR.

She was born January 24, 1958 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of Joseph and Becky Ann Lantz Mueller.  She was united in marriage to Dale Lee Hagmeier in Montrose, IA.  He preceded her in death on July 30, 2016.

Maria had been employed as a bartender and waitress at several local business through the years, including Pizza Hut, A&W, Whitey’s, Pizza Plus, Chintz’s and Longenecker’s. 

She was gifted in arts and crafts and enjoyed making jewelry, stained glass projects and floral arrangements.  Maria also enjoyed decorating her house and collecting antiques. She enjoyed spending the day outside gardening and planting flowers. She especially loved going to the beach and spending the day at the ocean.  Maria was a friend to many and generous to all and enjoyed having a good time.  Most of all, Maria loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by one daughter, Hanna Marie Hagmeier (Willy Quinn) of Keokuk, one son, Dalton Cole Hagmeier of Springdale, AR, one grandson, Tyson Kain Hagmeier (Skylar Stinson) of Keokuk and one great-granddaughter on the way in October.  She is also survived by two brothers, Mark Joseph Mueller (Sarah Marie) of Keokuk and Mike John Mueller (Tiffany Bigelow) of Keokuk, two sisters, Marilyn Janice Loeffler (Ron) of Springdale, AR and Melinda Joy Castro (Paul Jernigan) of Chesapeake, VA, several nieces and nephews and one great-nephew, Javen Mason of Springdale, AR. 

Besides her husband Dale, she was also preceded in death by her parents and one nephew, Ryan Mason.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, (May 7) at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Summer Hakoun officiating.  Burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be held prior to the service Saturday from 12 noon – 2 p.m. at the funeral home with family meeting with friends at that time.
