FORT MADISON - Lee County Auditor Sherri Yasenchok announces that the Lee County Auditor’s Office is now accepting absentee ballot requests for the November 3, 2026, General Election.
Absentee Request forms can be obtained on the Lee County website www.leecountyiowa.gov under Voting & Elections, Election Resources. You must include the date the request is signed. Absentee Requests forms should be delivered or mailed to the Lee County Auditor, 933 Ave. H, P.O. Box 190, Fort Madison IA 52627.
Absentee ballots will be available on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. This is the first day that absentee ballots may be mailed to voters. It is also the first day to vote absentee in person at the Lee County Auditor’s Office, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eligible voters may vote in person until November 2, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. The Auditor’s office is also open for absentee voting on Saturday October 31, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
