Bendlage makes 1A All-District team

Senior leads list of southeast Iowa players making IGCA teams


FORT MADISON - Holy Trinity senior Mary Kate Bendlage added another honor on Sunday.
Bendlage was named to the Iowa Girls Coaches Association Class 1A Southeast All-District team.
Bendlage, who became Holy Trinity’s all-time leading scorer this season, averaged 20.9 points per game this season. That ranked 15th best in all classes in Iowa, and tied for third best among all players in Class 1A.
Bendlage also averaged 8.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists.
Bendlage was joined on the team by Carly Goodwin (Sigourney), Ellen Cook (Montezuma), Finley Jacque (Lone Tree), Jaeda Molle (Danville), Kennedy Axmear (English Valleys), Lauren Krieger (Notre Dame), Majesta Vos (Lynnville-Sully), Sarah Burton (Highland) and Shiressa Wetering (Montezuma).
Mediapolis’ Haley Steffener was named to the Class 3A Southeast team. Kendra Boatman of Keokuk and Mylee Stiefel of Burlington were named to the Class 4A Southeast team.
