Blind is the smartest choice

Dear Editor:

I am writing to encourage voters in the City of Fort Madison to cast their vote for Melinda Blind for Mayor. I worked with Melinda for many years in my role as County Auditor. I found Melinda to be very informed, always friendly and very good at her job. The knowledge she will bring to the Mayor’s Office is unmatched. Melinda is community minded and always demonstrated a deep commitment to making Fort Madison a better place to live.
Melinda not only understands the challenges that face the City, but also the root causes. She is familiar with the laws that the City must follow and has received extensive training in this. Her vast network of contacts made during her term as Clerk will serve her well in this new role.|
I am unable to vote for her myself, but I am confident that she is the right person to lead the City of Fort Madison.
