FORT MADISON – The Fort Madison Area Chamber of Commerce proudly invites the community to celebrate Independence Day at the annual Fort Madison Fireworks Display on Saturday, July 4.
The fireworks will begin between 9:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., depending on darkness. The professional fireworks display, presented by the Fort Madison Area Chamber of Commerce and produced by J&M Displays, will once again be launched from the west end of Riverview Park.
For the safety of spectators and event personnel, Avenue H will be closed between 6th and 10th streets, and the west end of Riverview Park will be closed throughout the day as crews prepare the launch site.
Community members are encouraged to observe all barricades and safety zones and enjoy the show from surrounding public viewing areas.
In the event of inclement weather, the fireworks display will be postponed to Saturday, July 18. Any updates regarding the status of the show will be shared on the Fort Madison Area Chamber of Commerce's Facebook page. Community members are encouraged to follow the Chamber on social media for the latest information.
The Chamber is proud to continue a tradition that has brought families, friends, and visitors together for generations. For more than a decade, the Chamber and its predecessor organization, Fort Madison Partners, have coordinated fundraising efforts to make this community celebration possible. Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, organizations, and individuals, this year's fireworks display will once again light up the skies over Fort Madison.
The Chamber extends its sincere appreciation to J&M Displays for their continued partnership and professionalism in producing a spectacular and safe fireworks display each year.
A special thank you also goes to Chief Hannum and the Fort Madison Fire Department as well as the Fort Madison Police Department for their partnership and dedication to ensuring the safety of both spectators and crew members. Their support behind the scenes helps make this celebration possible.
