The Ft. Madison City Band, under the direction of Colin DePriest, will perform a concert filled with Patriotic music to celebrate our 250th Birthday.  The concert will begin at 7:00pm in Central Park.  The concert is sponsored by the internet provider ImOn.  At 5:30pm, The Campfire, Lily Hayes and Heather Fuger, will perform prior to the City Band concert.  First Christian Church, Wilson Bros. BBQ and Michbry's will be serving food.  In case of inclement weather, or extreme heat, the concert will be moved to the Ft. Madison United Methodist Church located on the corner of 9th Street and Avenue E.  There is a handicapped accessible elevator through the Chapel door on 9th Street.
The Ft. Madison City Band will perform the following selections: All Glory Told, America, The Liberty Bell March, John Williams in Concert, An American Celebration, Ashokan Farewell, Just A Closer Walk With Thee and Washington Post March.
The band would like to recognize all Veterans and those currently serving in our military with the performance of Armed Forces Salute.  Those in attendance will be asked to stand and be recognized during the playing of their branches song.
Please enjoy the live music provided in Ft. Madison while we wait for a beautiful firework display that will begin around 9:15pm on the Riverfront.
