City pours asphalt at new marina

FORT MADISON - The Fort Madison Marina is pleased to announce the next phases of the project.
Crews are currently laying down the first layer of asphalt. Boaters will have access to the marina, as the road and parking will be open up for use.
From July 31st to August 4th, there will be some limited access as the work continues, including asphalt and striping.
City officals are asking that truck and trailers start utilizing the permanent parking stalls west of the island.
Late October will mark the final phase of the paving process, enabling heavy construction traffic to complete remaining work around the building before asphalt completion. The marina management urges boaters to be patient during this time as the team works diligently, ensuring top-notch road and parking.
