DONNELLSON - The Green Acres Pool House Project is pleased to announce it has received a $7,500 site investment from Climax Molybdenum’s Fort Madison operations, part of Freeport-McMoRan. The funding was awarded under the Friends of the Lee County Fair, Inc. 501c3 and will support ongoing efforts to construct a new pool house facility at Green Acres in Donnellson.
The new pool house will enhance safety, accessibility, and overall experience for community members who utilize the pool and surrounding facilities. The project continues to be driven by strong community support and a shared commitment to improving local recreational amenities.
Freeport-McMoRan site investments are funding opportunities based out of local operations and are designed to directly benefit the communities in which they serve. The support from the Fort Madison Climax Molybdenum site reflects a commitment to strengthening local communities and improving quality of life in the region.
“We are grateful for the support from Climax Molybdenum’s Fort Madison operations,” said Jody Schulte. “This contribution brings us one step closer to providing an updated, safe, and welcoming facility for our community.”
