LEE COUNTY — Voters in the Lee County and Keokuk area will have additional opportunities to cast their ballots during a special satellite voting event scheduled for May 26 through May 29.
The satellite voting location is intended to provide convenient access for eligible voters who wish to vote early and avoid Election Day lines.
The temporary satellite voting site will be open during designated hours throughout the four-day period, allowing residents to participate in the election process closer to home and on a flexible schedule.
Election officials encourage all eligible voters to take advantage of this opportunity and remind voters to bring any required identification and materials needed to complete the voting process. All qualified voters must declare either the Democratic Party or Republican Party in order to participate.
“We are committed to making voting accessible and convenient for every eligible voter in our community,” said Auditor Sherri Yasenchok “. This satellite location helps ensure voters in the Lee County and Keokuk area have additional options to safely and efficiently cast their ballots.”
