Cheryl Elaine Huffman, age 72, passed away at home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on July 20, 2025.
Cheryl was born in Burlington, Iowa, on November 19, 1952. She married Roy Lee Huffman on August 24, 1972, in Denmark, Iowa. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2004.
Cheryl lived a very full and vibrant life, having lived across the country and overseas. She was a nurse and later a real estate agent. She was a member of La Croix Church and served as President of the St. Louis Iron Mountain Railroad for many years. She loved volunteering, reading, cooking, nature and gardening, and spending time with her late mother and relatives in Iowa.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, parents Martha “Louise” Davis and Wayne Eugene Davis, brother Michael Davis, and sister Kathy Nelson. She is survived by her children, Dyrk (Rachel) Huffman and Brandi Huffman, and two grandchildren, Jaryd Huffman and Darian Huffman.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Denmark Cemetery in Denmark, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lilly Berry Foundation in Cheryl’s honor.
Crain Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
