Leonard “Leo” M. Jackson, 15, of Keokuk, Iowa, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023.

Leo was born on October 30, 2007, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Jason and Dureen (Strifler) Jackson. He attended Keokuk High School and was going into his Junior year. Leo was a wonderful student, excelling at everything he did. From starting on the football team to dominating track and weights, there was nothing that Leo couldn’t accomplish if he put his mind to it. When he wanted to relax, Leo would play X-box with his family or curl up with a good book. Leo could always be found with a pack of cards on his person and loved to shuffle them. More than anything, Leo loved others. He enjoyed making people smile with his wild antics and got along with everyone he met. He loved his family fiercely and was the best brother and son anyone could ask for.

Leo is survived by his parents, Jason and Dureen Jackson of Keokuk; his brother Blake Jackson of Davenport; and two sisters: Kaitlyn and Jaelynn Jackson, both of Keokuk.

Leo’s life will be remembered with a memorial service at 6 pm on Monday, May 29, 2023, at New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk. Everyone is invited to dress casually in Leo’s memory.

Memorials may be directed to the family for expenses.

Tributes and condolences may be left at www.dejongsfuneralhome.com.

DeJong-Greaves-Printy Funeral Home of Keokuk is in charge of arrangements.
