Edwards, Hutson victims of Saturday crash

HUTSON

LEE COUNTY – The Iowa State Patrol has released the names of the two Lee County residents killed in Saturday’s accident on Green Bay Road.
Scott Edwards, 61, of Fort Madison, and Shawna Hutson, 50, of Wever were both killed when the vehicle they were riding in exited the roadway striking a west side embankment and rolling onto its top in a field.
Edwards was driving the vehicle, according to the ISP report, and was not belted at the time of the accident. Hutson was wearing her seat belt. The single-vehicle accident was reported at 9:31 p.m. in the 1600 block of Green Bay Road in Wever. Edwards was driving a 2000 Lexus 400.
Both victims were transported to the State Medical Lab in Ankeny by King-Lynk Funeral Home.
