FORT MADISON - The 104th Fort Madison Mexican Fiesta court has been announced with 10 candidates for queen, princess and junior princess.
This year the festival has three Queen candidates, four Princess candidates, and three Junior Princess candidates.  In addition to the scholarships provided to the Mexican Fiesta Queen and American Fiesta Queen, the festival committee is also supporting college entrance testing for the winners.
The Queen candidates are also required to write an essay, answering questions specific to the meaning of the Fiesta to them as well as complete at least 40 hours of community service.
All three categories of candidates are helping to prepare the Village for Fiesta this year and will be making flowers, decorating the float, and participating in the Rodeo parade. Jordan Prado is this year's Fiesta Committee President and Pam Lozano is the Queen and Princess Coordinator.
