FM woman charged in Oct. 6 assault

FORT MADISON – A 74-year-old Fort Madison woman has been arrested as a result of an Oct. 6 assault in the 3600 block of Avenue L.
According to a release from the Fort Madison Police Department, Rebecca Patino was arrested at the police department and charged with Willful Injury causing serious injury, a Class C Felony, and aggravated domestic abuse assault with a weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor.
On Monday, October 6, 2025, at approximately 12:45 p.m., officers with the Fort Madison Police Department responded to 3612 Avenue L where a male subject had received multiple injuries during an assault.
The male was identified as Stanley Dumas, who was stable and transported to SEI Regional Medical Center Fort Madison for treatment.
This incident was investigated by the Fort Madison Police Department and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
All charges are mere accusations until proven guilty in a court of law.
