Fort Madison Police Report
03/28/24 – 8:55 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Belinda Lorene McWhortor, 35, of Fort Madison, at 48th Street and Avenue O, on a charge of violation of a domestic no-contact order. She was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/28/24 – 8:57 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Grant James Shallcross, 34, of Fort Madison, at 48th Street and Avenue O, on a charge of violation of a domestic no-contact order. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/28/24 – 10:47 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 800 block of Avenue E.
03/28/24 – 1:30 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of vandalism in the 3600 block of Avenue O.
03/29/24 – 12:08 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a burglary in the 300 block of Avenue H.
03/29/26 – 6:36 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 1100 block of Avenue H.
03/29/24 – 12:40 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a hit & run in the 2300 block of Avenue L.
03/29/24 – 5:31 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 4800 block of Avenue O.
03/29/24 – 8:52 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Christian Vazquez, 32, of Illinois, in the 1400 block of 38th Street, on a warrant for probation violation – illegal entry and a charge of fugitive from justice. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/30/24 – 12:04 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a hit & run in the 5100 block of Avenue O.
03/30/24 – 5:27 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 4500 block of Avenue O.
03/31/24 – 8:00 a.m. – Fort Madison police cited Adam Paul Carson, 41, of Fort Madison, in the 2700 block of Avenue J, on a charge of city: dog at large.
03/31/24 – 10:16 a.m. – Keokuk police responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident in the alley of the 1500 block of Concert Street. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Cheyenne N. Crenshaw, 25, of Keokuk, was traveling eastbound in the alley of the 1500 block of Concert Street when a vehicle driven by John Thomas Hatfield, 55, of Keokuk, was pulling into the alley from his driveway and struck the rear of Crenshaw's vehicle. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damages but were driven from the scene. Crenshaw was cited for 1st offense OWI.
03/31/24 – 2:19 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 2600 block of Avenue L.
03/31/24 – 4:28 p.m. – Fort Madison police cited Jacqueline Kay Bohnenkamp, 58, of Fort Madison, in the 2600 block of Avenue L, on a charge of 5th degree theft less than $300.
03/31/24 – 10:04 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of burglary in the 3000 block of Avenue J.
04/01/24 – 1:29 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 4800 block of Avenue O.
04/01/24 – 8:50 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of vandalism in the 1300 block of 37th Street.

Keokuk Police Report
03/23/24 – 10:09 a.m. – Keokuk police responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident at 2nd and Main Streets. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Dakota Loren Olson, 25, of Keokuk, was traveling eastbound at 2nd and Main, had to brake suddenly, and was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Toby Daniel Evans, 36, of Fort Madison, that was also traveling eastbound at 2nd and Main, behind Olson. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damages and were driven from the scene. Evans was cited for failure to stop in an assured clear distance.
03/28/24 – 11:53 a.m. – Keokuk police arrested Miranda Elizabeth Meyers, 28, of Keokuk, at the South Lee County Courthouse, on a warrant for failure to appear/contempt of court. She was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/28/24 – 8:48 p.m. – Keokuk police cited and released Joseph Matthew McVeigh, 44, of Keokuk, in the 1700 block of Main Street, on a charge of driving under suspension.
03/28/24 – 11:55 p.m. – Keokuk police cited and released James Michael Copeland, 40, of Fort Madison, in the 1500 block of Orleans Avenue, on a charge of driving under suspension.
03/29/24 – 2:31 p.m. – Keokuk police arrested Jason Daniel Stark, 44, of Keokuk, in the 1500 block of Morgan Street, on a warrant for failure to appear/contempt of court. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/30/24 – 7:18 p.m. – Keokuk police arrested Darrien Isaiah Leeper, 25, of Keokuk, in the 800 block of Johnson Street Road, on a warrant for failure to appear/contempt of court. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/31/24 – 10:52 a.m. – Keokuk police arrested Cheyenne Nicole Crenshaw, 25, of Keokuk, in the 1400 block of Main Street, on a charge of 1st offense OWI. She was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/31/24 – 12:25 p.m. – Keokuk police arrested Dustin Ray Rogers, 32, of Ottumwa, in the 1700 block of Bank Street, on charges of 3rd offense possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication. He was taken to Lee County Jail.

Lee County Sheriff Report
03/29/24 – 10:07 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Devan Alexandra Batley, 29, of Keokuk, at the sheriff's office, on a judgment entry/mittimus warrant. She was taken to Lee County Jail and later released after weekend service.
03/29/24 – 4:36 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Brian Scott Howes, 44, of Montrose, at the North Lee County Courthouse, on warrants for violation of parole and sex offender registry – other offense, and charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance – marijuana 1st, drug trafficking – 5GM-100KG methamphetamine, and drug tax stamp violations. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/29/24 – 11:09 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested April Dawn Settles, 42, of Keokuk, at the South Lee County Courthouse, in a warrant for violation of probation. She was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/30/24 – 11:06 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident in the 2500 block of Hwy. 61 S. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Stevie Ray Holeman, 29, of Mississippi, was traveling southbound on Hwy. 61, when a vehicle driven by Christopher Duane Soice, 39, of Fort Madison, merged onto the highway from the entrance ramp and proceeded directly into the left lane, striking Holeman's vehicle, causing minor damages. No injuries were reported at the scene. Soice was cited for unsafe passing and received a warning for leaving the scene of an accident. Soice's vehicle also sustained minor damages. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
03/30/24 – 11:27 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Dillan Joseph McCarty, 25, of Keokuk, at the South Lee County Courthouse, on a warrant for failure to appear. He was taken to Lee County Jail and later released on bond.
03/31/24 – 7:39 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Jay Duane Beenblossom, 40, of Morning Sun, on a warrant for interference with judicial process. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/31/24 – 9:53 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Matthew Jay Wells, 23, of Fort Madison, at the Lee County Jail, on charges of disorderly conduct – fight/violence. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/31/24 – 9:56 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Paul Douglas Bowden, 39, of Montrose, at the Lee County Jail, on a charge of disorderly conduct – fight/violence. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
