Fort Madison Police Report
12/18/24 – 10:20 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Larry Lee Benge, 49, of Fort Madison in the 2600 block of Avenue L, on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held in Lee County Jail.
12/18/24 – 11:48 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Kenneth Kyle Pierce, 40, of Fort Madison in the 4800 block of Avenue O, on a charge and warrant of 3^rd-degree theft. He was held in Lee County Jail.
12/18/24 – 6:26 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Conner Ray Fuget, 18 ,of Fort Madison, in 1800 block of Avenue H, on a charge of controlled substance violation. He was held in Lee County Jail.

Keokuk Police Report
12/15/24 – 1:10 p.m. – Keokuk police responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident in the 3300 block of Main Street. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Mary Jo Skinner, 38, Keokuk, struck a vehicle driven by Barbara Jean Burford, 77, of Warsaw. Burford was slowing to turn right and was struck from the rear by Skinner causing Skinner’s vehicle to roll onto its top. Skinner was taken to an area hospital by ambulance, while Burford was uninjured. Skinner was cited for failure to stop in assured clear distance and and no insurance.
12/18/24 – 11:36 a.m. – Keokuk police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 800 block of Cleveland Avenue.
12/18/24 – 12:05 p.m. – Keokuk police responded to a report of a vandalism in the 100 block of N. Park Drive.
12/19/24 – 1:16 a.m – Keokuk police arrested Timothy L. Hoyt, Jr., 41 of Abingdon, Ill., in the 1300 block of Main Street on a charge of public intoxication. He was held in Lee County Jail.

Lee County Sheriff’s Report
12/18/24 – 8:09 a.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Vincent Onofrietti, 43, at the N. Lee County Courthouse, on a warrant for failure to appear. He was taken to Lee County Jail and released on bond.
12/18/24 – 1:42 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Drew Preston Billings, 30, of Denmark, at the N. Lee County Courthouse, on a warrant for sex offender verification violation. He was held in Lee County Jail.
12/18/24 – 2:43 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Steven Roy Eugene Brown, Sr., 58, of Fort Madison, at the sheriff’s office, on warrants for failure to appear. He was taken to Lee County Jail and released on bond.
Those listed above should be and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

12/17/24 – Fort Madison firefighters responded to one cooking fire, one canceled in route, and three medical calls.
12/18/24 – Fort Madison firefighters reported no activity.
