Fort Madison Police Report
10/27/25 - 10:54 AM - Fort Madison police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1900 block of Avenue L. 
10/27/25 - 11:58 AM - Fort Madison police arrested Erica Rae Kimble, 43, of Fort Madison in the 1900 block of Avenue L on a charge of public intoxication. She was held in Lee County Jail. 
10/27/25 - 10:40 PM - Fort Madison police arrested Darren Lee Taeger, 41, of Fort Madison at 28th Street and Avenue L on a charge of operating while intoxicated. He was held in Lee County Jail. 
10/28/25 - 3:55 MA - Fort Madison police arrested Janessa N. Taft, 19, of Dallas City at 15th Street and Avenue H on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was held in Lee County Jail. 

Keokuk Police Report
10/27/25 - 10:54 AM - Keokuk police responded to a report of a no injury accident at South 2nd Street and Bank Street. Cindy S. Hempen, 66, of Hamilton ran a stop sign and conducted a right hand turn while Claude Edward Johnson, 82, of Keokuk was driving straight through the intersection on Bank Street. Hempen was cited with failure to obey stop sign and yield right of way. 
10/27/25 - 2:14 PM - Keokuk police responded to a report of vandalism in the 1000 block of South 5th Street. 

Lee County Police Report
10/28/25 - 7:05 a.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Steven Charles Burgund, 57,  of Fort Madison, at the N. Lee County Courthouse on an active warrant. He was held in Lee County Jail. 
10/28/25 - 11:19 a.m.  - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Lydia Rose Atterberg, 38, of Keokuk in the 5400 block of Avenue O in Fort Madison on charges of assault on a law enforcement officer. She was held in Lee County Jail.
10/28/25 - 6:09 p.m. - lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Kewvin Lynn Tripp, Jr., of Keokuk at the S. Lee County Courthouse on a chaerge of burglary in the 3rd-degree. He was held in Lee County Jail.
