Keokuk Police Report
04/22/25 – 3:20 p.m. – Keokuk police responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident in the 2000 block of Main Street. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Norma J. Gilpin, 86, of Nauvoo, was westbound on Main when it struck a vehicle driven by Cassandra D. Beaman, 29, of Keokuk who was stopped at an improperly functioning traffic device. Gilpin was cited for failure to stop in an assured distance. No injuries were reported.
04/22/25 – 6:14 p.m. – Keokuk police responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident in the 800 block of Bank Street. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Ashley Jo Voorhees, 41, of Keokuk struck an unoccupied parked vehicle when leaving a parking spot. Voorhees was cited for failure to provide proof of insurance.
04/25/25 – 4:30 p.m. – Keokuk police cited Jamey Washburn, 47, of Keokuk, in the 100 block of Bel Air Street on charges of allowing a dog to attack and no proof of rabies vaccination.
04/25/25 – 6:06 p.m. – Keokuk police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 100 block of Mississippi Drive.
04/25/25 -8:17 p.m. – Keokuk police arrested Daniel Wesley Warth, 37, of. Keokuk, in the 100 block of S. 17th Street, on a warrant for failure to appear. She was held in Lee County Jail.
04/26/25 – 11:25 a.m. - Keokuk police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 1500 block of Hilton Rd.
04/26/25. 1:36 p.m. – Keokuk police arrested Christopher Craig Rash, 39, of Keokuk, in the 500 block of High Street, on a charge of 1st-degree harassment. She was held in Lee County Jail.
04/26/25 – 6:03 p.m. - Keokuk police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 2100 block of Main Street.
04/26/25 – 8:21 p.m. – Keokuk police arrested Keith Lynn Kellum, 36, of Keokuk, in the 500 block of N. 13th Street, on warrants for eluding and driving under suspension. He was held in Lee County Jail.
04/26/25 – 8:27 p.m. – Keokuk police arrested Keith Lynn Kellum, 36, of Keokuk, on warrants for violation of parole and driving under suspension, and charges of interference with official acts. He was held in Lee County Jail.
04/26/25 – 11;59 p.m. – Keokuk police arrested Joseph Dean Martens, Jr., 32, of Keokuk, in the 1700 block of Johnson Street on warrants for ongoing criminal conduct and having contraband and weapons at a correctional facility. He was held in Lee County Jail.
04/27/25 – 6:12 p.m. - Keokuk police responded to a report of vandalism in the 900 block of Bank Street.
04/27/25 – 10:46 p.m. – Keokuk police arrested Caleb Julian Hayden, 29, of Keokuk, in the 2600 block of Belknap Blvd., on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving under suspension. He was held in Lee County Jail.
04/27/25 – 11:17 p.m. - Keokuk police responded to a report of a gas odor in the 500 block of Blondeau Street.
04/28/25 – 9:05 a.m. – Keokuk police cited Christine Kaye Martin, 67, of Keokuk, in the 500 block of N. 13th Street, on a charge of trespassing.
04/28/25 – 9:05 a.m. – Keokuk police cited Joseph Leon Walker, 45, of Keokuk, in the 500 block of N. 13th Street on a charge of trespassing.
04/28/25 – 10:52 a.m. – Keokuk police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 800 block of Boulevard Road.
04/28/25 – 5:17 p.m. – Keokuk police arrested Jeremy John Steenhoek, 51, of Keokuk in the 100 block of S. 19th Street, on a charge of violation of a no-contact order, and an active warrant. He was held in Lee County Jail.
04/28/25 – 8:44 p.m. – Keokuk police arrested Thurman Purdiman, III, 34, of Keokuk, in the 1300 block of Johnson Street, on a charge of public intoxication. He was held in Lee County Jail.
04/28/25 – 8:52 p.m. – Keokuk police cited Gabrielle Corrine Schnedlery, 25, of Keokuk, in the 1200 block of High Street, on a charge of driving under suspension.
04/28/25 – 9:14 p.m. – Keokuk police responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 400 block of Bank Street. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Brian D. Froman, 56, of Warsaw, was headed westbound approaching the stop sign at S. 5th and Bank. After stopping Froman turned southbound and struck a bicyclist, Terry Edward Crabtree, 63, of Keokuk. Crabtree was knocked from his bicycle and transported to area hospital with serious injuries. No charges were filed and police noted that the intersection was dark and Crabtree did not have proper light equipment on the bicycle.
04/28.25 – 9:46 p.m. – Keokuk police arrested Denette Arlene Lally, 45, of Keokuk, in the 100 block of N. 11th Street, on charges of possession of a controlled substance, Possesion of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, interference with officials actions and an active arrest warrant. She was held in Lee County Jail.
04/28/25 – 11:34 p.m. – Keokuk police arrested Katelyn Michelle Howell, 20, of Keokuk, in the 1200 block of Johnson Street, on a charge of domestic assault with bodily injury.
04/28/25 – 11:32 p.m. – Keokuk police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 1200 block of Johnson Street.
04/29/25 – 8:31 a.m. – Keokuk police cited Zachary Taylor Debrackeliere, 31, of Keokuk, in the 1600 block of Orleans Avenue on charges of allowing dogs to run at large.
04/29/25 – 12:48 p.m. – Keokuk police cited Michael Maurice Carmichael, 67, of Hamilton was cited in the 600 block of Main Street on a charge of aggravated forgery.
04/29/25 – 2:11 p.m. – Keokuk police arrested Antoine Crockett, 44, of Keokuk was arrested in the 1200.
04/29/25 – 4:57 p.m. – Keokuk police arrested Jayden Lee Bartenhagen, 21, of Keokuk,in the 1600 block of Bank Street.
Lee County Sheriff’s Report
04/28/25 – 5:55 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kevin Lee McCarty, 52, of Keokuk, in the 700 block of Hazelhurst in Keokuk, on a charge of 1st-degree harassment. He was held in Lee County Jail.
04/29/25 – 12:57 a.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Tony Lee Hoadley, 38, of Keokuk, on Twin Rivers Drive in Keokuk, in a charge of possession of controlled substance.
04/29/25 – 12:04 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kimberly Jo Huss, 48, of Fort Madison, at the sheriff’s office, on a warrant for failure to appear. She was taken to Lee County Jail and released on bond.
Those listed above should be and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
