Fort Madison Police Report
10/10/23 – 11:00 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 1200 block of 36th Street.
10/10/23 – 3:34 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a personal injury accident in the 1200 block of 37th Street.
10/10/23 – 5:04 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a burglary in the 3000 block of Avenue K.
Keokuk Police Report
10/04/23 – 1:05 p.m. – Keokuk police responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident in the 1900 block of Orleans Avenue. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Laura Lou Clement, 59, of Keokuk, was stuck in traffic in the 1900 block of Orleans Avenue when a vehicle driven by Amy Lynn Kelly, 44, of Keokuk, reversed and struck Clement's vehicle. No injuries were reported. Kelly was cited for failure to provide proof of financial liability and unsafe backing on highway. Both vehicle were driven from the scene.
10/10/23 – 3:14 p.m. – Keokuk police cited and released Crystal Nicole Thomas, 38, of Keokuk, in the 2000 block of Main Street, on charges of 4th degree theft greater than $300 less than $750 and unauthorized credit card use less than $1500.
Lee County Sheriff Report
10/10/23 – 11:32 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Cody Dale Kussman, 35, of Fort Madison, at the South Lee County Courthouse, on a warrant for pretrial release violation. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
10/10/23 – 11:40 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Chad Richard Barker, 45, of Farmington, in the 1100 block of Croton Road, Farmington, on a charge of disorderly conduct – loud noise. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
10/10/23 – 11:55 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident in the 1700 block of 48th Street. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Chadlin Dane Smith, 26, of Burlington, struck a residence after possibly suffering a medical condition. No injuries or citations were issued, but Smith was ordered to re-exam. The vehicle was disabled and towed from the scene.
Fort Madison Fire & Rescue Report
10/10/2023 - Fort Madison firefighters responded to one medical call and one motor vehicle accident.
