DES MOINES - State Rep. Martin Graber (R-Ft. Madison) has been named to the Iowa Public Employees Retirement System Investment Board.
Graber is a financial planner with AmeriPrise Financial in Fort Madison and is serving in his second term as the representative from the District 100.
Graber's term on the board will run from May 3, 2023 to January 12, 2025 where he would be eligible for re-appointment. He was appointed by Iowa House Speaker Pat Grassley.
Under Iowa Code section 69.16B, unless specifically provided otherwise by law, the regular term of appointment made by a member of the General Assembly is two years, beginning upon the convening of a General Assembly and ending upon the convening of the following General Assembly, or when the appointee’s successor is appointed, whichever occurs later. A vacancy exists if a member of the General Assembly serving on a statutory board, commission, council, or committee ceases to be a member of the General Assembly. Such a vacancy is filled for the unexpired portion of the term in the same manner as the original appointment.
