HTC girls find groove in sweep at MEPO

Mueller goes 24-24 on the attack with nine kills to lead Crusaders

MEDIAPOLIS - The Holy Trinity Crusaders got things back on track Tuesday night with a 3-game sweep of Mediapolis on the road.

The Crusaders won 25-18, 25-18, 25-20 in the Southeast Iowa Superconference matchup.

Brooke Mueller led the way offensively for HTC Going 24-24 at the net with nine kills and a block. She was also 25 of 26 serving with five aces.

Mary Kate Bendlage was 21 of 27 attacking with eight kills and freshman Presley Myers was 21 of 26 at the net with seven kills.

Anna Bendlage led the Crusaders in assists with 29 and had three kills.

Taegan Denning had 20 digs on the nights and was 11 of 11 serving with an ace.

The Crusaders improve to 7-6 overall and 1-2 in the SEI Superconference South Divison.

They host West Burlington (15-2, 1-0) Thursday night at Shottenkirk Gym.
