IRS team investigates Feinbergs Thursday

FORT MADISON – A Fort Madison company was the subject of an Internal Revenue Service investigation Thursday afternoon.
According to a spokesperson from the IRS, criminal investigators were at Feinberg Metal Recyclers at 1510 18^th Street Thursday morning with local law enforcement.
Fort Madison Police Chief Mark Rohloff said police officers were on scene supporting the investigation, but had no details on the incident, and were not involved other than to support the federal officers.
The IRS spokesperson said an IRS Criminal Investigation team was at Feinberg’s conducting “official business” at the location, but was unable to provide specifics on the case.
The incident remains under investigation.
