We are writing in support of Nannette Griffin, candidate for Iowa House District #100 in the special election next Tuesday, March 11th.
Nannette, being a small businessperson in Fort Madison, is well suited to represent all Lee Countians in the Iowa House. She fully understands the needs of working men and women and farmers as well as those in business in our cities, towns, and rural areas. Most importantly, she is an independent thinker who has the experience to make thoughtful non-political decisions when it is in the best interests of her constituents. Nannette is not running her campaign in the interests of her party leadership unlike her opponent who describes himself as a proponent of his national leader. She is a long-time resident of Lee County and lives here with her husband and co-business owner, Clark. She will be a breath of fresh air in the one-hundred-member House as she joins the twenty-seven women in the chamber. Your vote for a qualified and experienced resident of Lee County will be appreciated and Nannette pledges to listen and respond to your communications and concerns.
The election is being conducted on Tuesday, March 11th, and polls will be open from 7 A.M. to 8 P.M. Polls are in various locations since this is a special election. In the Keokuk, area, the polling locations are the Heritage Center at 508 Main Street and the Hidden Tower Event Center at 2416 340th Street; In Fort Madison, Roling Hall at 2210 Avenue I; In Montrose, Ivor Fowler Center at 710 Main Street; In Donnellson, Pilot Grove Savings Bank Community Room at 506 N. Main Street; In West Point at American Legion at 309 5th Street. You may vote at any location. You may also vote early from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. through Friday, March 7th at the South Lee County Courthouse at 25 N. 7th Street and at the Auditor's Office at 933 Avenue H in Fort Madison.
