Nina Ruth Stilwell, 89, of Ft. Madison, IA, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 5:26 AM at River Hills Village in Keokuk.
She was born on January 8, 1937 in Ft. Madison to Charles and Helen Guyman Gillett.  On November 26, 1980 she married Harold “Hal” Stilwell in Ft. Madison and later sealed in the Logan, UT temple; he passed away on March 14, 2009.  Nina worked at Sheaffer Pen Company for several years.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  Nina enjoyed genealogy and love to read and write; often referring to herself as a “word smith”.
Survivors include two daughters, Kymberley Ward of Wellman and Linda (Michael) Weston of Anamosa; two sons, David (Julie) Schutte of Hurricane, UT and A.J. (Becky) Moone of Ft. Worth, TX; ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Charlie “Leo” Gillett.
The family will meet with friends on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 from 10-11 AM at King-Lynk Funeral & Crematory, followed by a burial in Oakland Cemetery.
