Adonis “Donnie” Seager, age 92 and a day, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 9:15 PM at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.
He was born on August 14, 1934 in Denmark to Jesse and Lydia Baxter Seager. On July 1, 1961 Don married Opal Magers in Ft. Madison and she passed away on October 17, 1994. He worked in construction most of his life and retired from Schroeder Brothers. Don proudly served in the US Air Force. He enjoyed fishing, cars, watching westerns and going for rides and walking. Most of all he enjoyed his time spent with family; especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Lydia Seager of Los Gatos, CA, Juanita (David) Hornbaker of Florissant, CO, and Wanda (Rodney) Billings of Charleston; thirteen grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three sons, Carl, Jerry and Tim; two sister and six brothers.
The family will meet with friends from 9:30-10:30 AM on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The memorial service will be at 10:30 AM with Pastor Dawn Farris officiating. Burial will follow in Soldiers’ Circle, Oakland Cemetery.
