Bradley Dean Lake, 55, of West Point, IA, passed away at 3:47 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at his home. He was born on February 3, 1971 to Jerome “Jerry” & Beverly Newton Lake. On May 24, 2003, he married Misty Pence. They later divorced. He was a graduate of Fort Madison High School and Calmar College as a mechanic. He worked at Donnellson & Kahoka Implements, River City Motors, Merschman Seed, Agrineed and drove a truck for Pork Beach, Seigle Grain, Jim Wellman and whoever needed his help. In his spare time, he liked to deer hunt, mushroom hunt and fish at Skunk River. He was always tinkering on an old car, truck or tractor.
Brad is survived by: 1-daughter: Hailey Lake of West Point, IA; 1-son: Harley Lake of Donnellson, IA; his stepmother: Barbara Lake of Fort Madison, IA and his long-time companion, Chantelle Runyon of West Point, IA; and numerous aunts, uncles & cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1-sister: Marla Lake.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dean Graber officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in rural Fort Madison. Memorials have been established for Henry County Hospice, American Cancer Society or his children’s education.
